Improve equipment life, efficiency and reliability to optimize production plant on-stream reliability and availability. This position has responsibility for development, implementation and updating of equipment mechanical integrity programs. These programs include:

* Design specification and suitability reviews
* Preventative and predictive maintenance routines
* Establishment of inspection and testing protocols and schedules for normal operations, shutdowns and Turn-a-Rounds
* Establishment of comprehensive and functional hardcopy and electronic documentation filing systems
* Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and identify/implement solutions- recommend alternative specifications for materials of construction, gaskets, bolts etc. to reduce failure incidents
* Establishment of data tracking systems to support analysis processes
* Supervise reliability technician's activities related to mechanical integrity

When performed well this includes the application of technical expertise to:

1) Complex analysis of plant wide mechanical systems to determine need for enhancements. Develop plans for major equipment overhauls and replacements.
2) Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and implement recommended changes to mechanical integrity programs and equipment.
3) Ongoing new technology reviews to improve overall equipment reliability.
4) Review predictive maintenance data, analyze and write reports, and reduce repetitive machinery failures.
5) Review predictive and preventative maintenance routines such as vibration analysis, lubrication, thermal inspection, NDT inspections, weld inspections, etc. and make recommendations to enhance facility practices Development of SOPs for maintenance routines and practices.

Requires Bachelor's Degree from a 4-yearr college/university in Engineering, with a preference in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5 years directly related experience in a manufacturing facility. Planning, organization, and above average interpersonal & communication skills (written and verbal) are key ingredients for the success of the position. Off-duty hours and weekend hours may be required to reach operational and compliance goals.
